Big Brother watches the art world as well

Google finally did it. They're encroaching on the art world and their copyrights as well. It's really not all that bad and apocalyptic, it's actually kind of cool. Google has digitized a few of the best museums around the world and put them on the web for you to browse virtually. Check it out when you get the chance. http://www.googleartproject.com/ Please note that this is still a work in progress and some of the tours you take will be slow.

I am currently mourning the loss of my Steelers from this past weekend so it may be a few days before you a new piece of art posted.

  1. Can't you produce great art in (and through) your grieving process? ...

  2. The Google Art Project isn't a bad thing at all. It's actually one of the coolest things Google has ever done - at least from an artist's viewpoint.

Imagine all the art that you may never be able to see because of distance or money. Well, with their help, now a learning artist or student can zoom in so close to a piece as to see the brushwork. And that is where the magic happens and where the learning takes place.

I personally embrace where Google is headed with this.

  3. Google embraces you too Mr. Smith. An extra touchy embrace.

F-dogg, why not produce a picture of yourself in a Steelers helmet crying? Revel in your woe. There's art to be done yo.
